The 21st Century Farmstead was created in the 2008 by Cynthia Alpers, a long time organic gardener, cheese maker, poultry keeper and lover of animals and nature. A graduate of University Of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Biology, Cynthia brings us an old point of view, with a new perspective on living organic, green and with a sense of modern day practicality. Cynthia's philosophy on her down-to-earth, eco-friendly, sustainable living concepts can be applied to an urban life in the city, as well as living in rural areas. Her years of experience give us all a fresh take on organic gardening, healthy foods, happy pets and a most positive way of makeing the most out of life.
The 21st Century Farmstead is currently published from Cynthia's home in the Santa Ynez Valley, CA. This area is just north of Santa Barbara and is widely known for its bucolic landscapes of vineyards and horse farms.
